Double Solo Paul van Kemenade - alto saxophone Stevko Busch - piano Five years after the first album CONTEMPLATION and having played a lot of international concerts since then, pianist Stevko Busch and alto saxophone master Paul van Kemenade (5* Downbeat 2011) present the latest tracks of their duo which, during the past became one of their most precious and magical combinations.

“Busch and Van Kemenade convincingly demonstrate that the jazz language can speak any theme and any trend if dedicated and talented people are involved.
.... get thoroughly absorbed if you need the meditative calm.
... deep philosophical content.”
Leonid Auskern, nestor, Belorussia

“… the duet’s playing is purposeful and effective. Paul van Kemenade’s alto saxophone plays keenly and beautifully, brilliantly linked to Stevko Busch’s subtle piano playing. “
Jazzrytmit, Finland

JazzArt Award winner Stevko Busch and Boy-Edgar-prize winner Paul van Kemenade have known each other since 1995, when they met in the “Contraband” of the Dutch trombonist and co-founder of the Amsterdam Bimhuis Willem van Manen.

Since then the musicians have developped their interplay into a sound of its own character – often honored by the audience with astonishment and warm reactions, like on the North Sea Jazzfestival 2011, in the Amsterdam Bimhuis, Salzburg Jazzfestival, Berlin Jazzfest, Jazz Au Chellah in Morocco and many other places.
