Lightly influenced by many artists and genres, LANDS' unique style is difficult to pigeon hole, incorporating musical references from styles such as Blues, to Reggae, to Rock n Roll and beyond. The saxophone is a signature sound of LANDS music, featuring prominently in most of their compositions.

Artists that have inspired this musical ambiguity include The Beatles, David Bowie, The Kinks, The Doors and Frank Zappa to name but a few.

LANDS' debut gig in 2012 at “Noel Gallagher's Official Aftershow Party” was organised before the bands first rehearsal, which meant seven days and nights of solid practice was needed before the show. A packed Birmingham Ballroom were in agreement that LANDS showed early signs of huge potential. The run up to this gig showed a will improve that has not ceased almost three years and over 100 shows on.

Following their debut gig, LANDS really hit the ground running in their first year, performing at “The Happy Mondays Official Aftershow Party” in London before returning to support Babyshambles two months later.

Performances in London, Liverpool, Manchester, Cheshire, Cambridge, Lancaster and Barrow followed over the next months and years, providing valuable experience for the band, helping them to become a tight, energetic and eye-catching live act. BBC radio airplay, a feature on Liverpool FC's “The Anfield Wrap” podcast and victory in their University competition, “MMU's Got Talent” are also highlights of this period.

In 2014, LANDS caught the eye of management and artist development company, “Downtown Artists”. The band have since been in their legendary “Berwick Street” studios in Soho, London to record two singles due for release in May 2015.
