Inspired by Folk, Chanson, Americana and Scandinavian eccentricity, Birte Paulsen and her band deliver dark Indie Folk with a sigh of Nordic melancholy and vocals that have drawn comparisons to Ane Brun, Lene Marlin or Agnes Obel.

She has been making a name for herself in the South East of the UK since moving to Brighton in 2010, when she came second in The Sussex Music Awards.
Since then she has played many prestigious venues and released an EP (Something Like That). She was asked to perform at The Royal Pavillion Theatre in Brighton as part of SOURCE New Music night, supported acts such as US band Crooked Fingers, acclaimed Scottish Folk singer Blue Rose Code and the UK’s latest rising star Jazz Morley, and has gained new fans along the way.
