In 2010 Bartosz Hadala released his jazz debut album entitled "The Runner Up", featuring world famous musicians, trumpeter Randy Brecker (founder of The Brecker Brothers), and drummer Antonio Sanchez (long time member of the Pat Metheny's Group).

Bartosz's original music has been influenced by the music of his idols: Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Danilo Perez and Fred Hersch. Those who had a chance to review the CD classify Hadala's music as high-energy contemporary jazz presenting Bartosz as an exciting and unpredictable performer.

"The Runner Up is a strong debut for Bartosz Hadala. The inclusion of a powerful front line in trumpeter Brecker and saxophonist Rovatti, along with the ever-present and tasteful drumming of Antonio Sanchez and inspirational bass playing from both Noriko Ueda and Dave Anderson, make this one of the year's best records". - Paul J Youngman, All About Jazz

"With a somewhat Pilc-like melodic touch and a Monk-on-steroids rhythm feel, Hadala consistently surprises with his unique directions." - Brad Walseth
