Indie based, drive-time punk rock from Leeds, UK signed to Paper + Plastick (North America) and Uncle M (EU).

Recently tipped by Gigwise as one of the most exciting new bands in Leeds and by Alreadyheard as one of 50 international bands to watch in 2015.

Having grown up on a diet of Chicago based punk rock bands and then romanced by the rootsy, old school revival of folk and country vibes creeping into punk rock music, Bad Ideas has a sound that uniquely sits between the gaps of Punk, Indie and Folk. Their latest offering, ‘The Better Parts of You’ was released in November by German label, Uncle M and also in North America via Paper + Plastick receiving rave reviews from the likes of KERRANG, HITHEFLOOR and PUNKTASTIC. Having built up a bedrock of fans through both acoustic and full-band shows with the likes of A Wilhelm Scream, Into it Over it, Gnarwolves, Sundowner, PJ Bond, Rocky Votolato and The Flatliners, Bad Ideas have toured extensively both in the UK and in mainland Europe as well as releasing two albums in 2012 and 2013, ‘Murder of Gods’ and ‘Compromise’ via Shield Recordings, Fond of Life, No Reason and Bad Mood records.

"The Better Parts Of You doesn’t try to be anything its not. It combines folk and punk, with an overall indie vibe in a way that’s extremely accessible and not easy to listen to, but a pleasure to listen to. Bad Ideas, we think you need to change your band name." - HitTheFloor
