Performing as a singer. In the past Augustin performed mostly as a trumpet player or pianist but, due to his success as a musical arranger and composer, writing scores for international artists and local musicians, such as the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra; “Berliner Staatskapelle” woodwind quintet, etc,, he eventually stopped playing the trumpet. After a long career as a musical arranger and composer he began to miss the stage and now you'll find him working in Vienna or Berlin with the best musicians! Now singing is his favourite thing!

Augustin has a unique smooth tenor voice with a wide vocal range, and found his trumpet experience equipped him to scat with the best of them. He can scat and sing cool jazz, bebop and jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. All songs performed have his expertise as a musical arranger with special arrangements, and his talent as a song-writer, sometimes including one or two of his many originals into the repertoire.

Augustin can work as a duo, accompanied by a piano player, up to a full jazz combo. He also likes performing with just guitar and acoustic bass, since that combo gives him lots of vocal space for his 'jazz scatting' abilities.

This 'Chamber-Music' quality is perfect in intimate jazz concerts and clubs playing for jazz addicted audiences, or playing smooth bar and dinner jazz for events. As a duo, trio or quartet Augustin delivers an enjoyable and fascinating evening all in a very musical way.

Beside singing jazz tunes, Augustin discovered, that there´s so much more wunderful music in the world – so he set up his so called „vintage project“. Accompanied from just a pianist up to a full grooving band he performs songs from the huge pop and soul repertoire such as Stevie Wonder, Bette Middler, John Lennon, Elton John, the Blues Brothers and many more . Both in concert and for company and other events you can feel what music is made for – to touch the listener´s hearts and make them at least move their feet. Loud and gentle, smooth and groovy, there´s from everything in it – and all in a very musical way.
