Rise | EP | 2013 | |
The Fall | EP | 2012 |
Formed in 2012, the band recorded a first EP largely influenced by the 90's Britpop music, with part-dreamy part-cynic texts: The Fall.
The following year, Astoria Dogs returns to the studio to produce a second EP, We want this / our music to be beautiful, not realistic, ranging from languid ballads to post-rock anthems, with darker and more melancholic lyrics.
In parallel, the band records several songs with multiple influences, from incisive rock to melodic pop. From these sessions will be released Rise, a 12-tracks record available in cassette format.
On stage, Astoria Dogs shows its full potential, playing a catchy and technical rock, with a powerful sound and a good energy.
Since its inception, the band played dozens of gigs across France, Belgium, Germany and England.
Gradually, Astoria Dogs finds its style, freeing from musical tags, opening to electronic music, hip-hop rhythms and dreamy vibes, while striving to continue writing quality texts.
It is in this spirit of exploration and freedom that Astoria Dogs is currently preparing to record its first album, scheduled for 2015.
