jazzahead! is not a regular music festival where bands can apply to play – instead, jazzahead! is an international industry meeting for the jazz professionals from all over the world with an integrated showcase festival. The 2016 edition of the event will consist of these showcase modules: Swiss Night, German Jazz Expo, Overseas Night and European Jazz Meeting.

Only registered exhibitors, co-exhibitors or professional participants of jazzahead! 2016 can apply for a showcase (go to www.jazzahead.de/en/register-now/ to register). To become a co-exhibitor, you can register as a participant on an umbrella stand (e.g. German Market, Partner Country booth, stands of other national organizations, or other main exhibitors). The application deadline is November 10th, 2015.

For each showcase module, bands are selected by panels of experts. A list of all jury members according to the different showcase modules can be found after the final decision is published in December 2015 at www.jazzahead.de/en/festival/. The jury decision will be made at the end of November.

jazzahead! 2016 different showcase modules will take place at Exhibition Center hall 7 & Kulturzentrum Schlachthof: Swiss Night (8 showcases, Thur, 21 April 2016, from 8 PM), German Jazz Expo (8 showcases, Fri, 22 April 2016, from 2 PM, Overseas Night (8 showcases, Fri, 22 April 2016, from 8 PM) and European Jazz Meeting (16 showcases, Sat, 23 April 2016, from 2 PM)
