Apollo Junction were formed in 2012 by 5 former band rivals with the intention of forming a ‘supergroup’ to write and perform electro, indie, guitar inspired songs infused with tuneful melodies that everyone can dance to.

Early days were spent writing, recording and gigging but 2013 and 2014 have proved amazing years for Apollo Junction with national and worldwide media exposure through newspapers and radio play of their ‘pop masterpieces’ (Little Indie Blogs) ‘Here Comes The Zombies’, ‘Begin’ and ‘If I Fell’.

The band quoted “We fully accept that we will be judged on our songs. In 5 years if we are a huge well known band or we are not heard of, it will be down to the songs. We live and die by them” (Laser Guided Melodies blog)

Apollo Junction “who have secured national airplay despite no record deal” The Times currently DIY everything and have been played on BBC Radio 2 (Graham Norton’s, BBC Radio 6 Music , XFM being hailed by the likes of Steve Lamacq, Chris Hawkins, Alan Raw (BBC), Graham Norton, Hattie Pearson (XFM) and Tom Robinson.

Their last single ‘If I Fell’ has been featured in The Times and the Metro and was debuted on BBC Radio 2 as well as having spot plays by XFM and BBC Radio 6 DJs.

Consistently gigging has led to a dedicated following Apollo Junction were even hailed by The Legendary venue ‘The Dublin Castle’ as ‘The best new band we have had in years!’. This fanbase, Radio play and critical acclaim in the music press, led to the success of their music video to ‘Begin’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qn8FiFnc2ys which has now reached over 60,000 views on YouTube.

“It’s been a crazy ride these two years, mainly because we DIY and self-manage which is a lot of fun as we are all best mates. It’s amazing when someone comes on-board and wants to help us. It’s nice to know every achievement is down to our songs and hard work, nobody can deny it or take it away from us, it feels good.” Jamie (Singer) Yorkshire Evening Post Newspaper
