Lifting The Curtain | Album | 2014 |
Formed in 2010 in the very heart of Russia, on the gray streets of Novosibirsk, the band spend first few months of their existence rehearsing in a garage next to an atomic reactor run by a family of crazy bears. Soon after bathing in vodka and absorbing a healthy amount of radiation, Antenna Tree released their first single “Birds” which gained significant attention on the local indie rock scene. In 2011 the band went on a little tour to promote the single in the nearby cities. In 2012 the band released their first EP titled “Pandora’s Box” featuring three new songs: Pandora’s Box, On and On and Pretence.
Antenna Tree seems to be the one of the most energetic live bands over the Ural mountains. Over a few months of live performances they show themselves to be a band of character. Their first album "Birds" is balancing between solid soft-rock composition and dramatic pop-music with the spirit of The Dears.
