With influences ranging from Doves, Arcade Fire, Daft Punk and Blur they combine upbeat indie-rock with elements of dance music to produce hook-laden songs full of catchy melodies, driving basslines and pounding drums.
2015 saw Alphas release two singles Here Comes The Burn and Waves along with their debut album A New Fire, gain an appearance at XpoNorth, receive a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards and win an Album of the Year award (in Mexico!). With a new recording already in the pipeline and a series of gigs being arranged, 2016 is set to be even better.
"A new name for me but I'm well impressed with Alphas" - Jim Gellatly
"Pouring out of your speakers and caressing your ears with a classic indie rock sound that's pretty much timeless." - The Vinyl District
"The energy Alphas brings is a breath of fresh air in this modern day/electronic/psychedelic world we live in if what you really want is some good old fashioned guitar hooks, rumbling bass lines and pounding drum beats." - Fame Magazine
