This is not only due to the continuous musical output but also to the many live shows the band has performed in Germany and abroad. The musical quality and the constant development of the band have not gone unnoticed. The most recent recognition is the two awards that were presented to the band at the 34th German Rock&Pop Awards: „Best Electropop Band 2017“ and „Best Gothic-/Wave Band 2017“.
ALPHAMAY return with „The Mellow Collie“ and invite you to join the celebration for their fifth anniversary. This is what this special release is all about - a celebration of music in a style that seemed all but lost.
On „The Mellow Collie“ ALPHAMAY take their time to revisit their musical roots. The result is an album that is free of forced convention and external limitation. The result is a renaissance of the German electronic Avantgarde of the past. It takes the listeners to a magical kingdom of lush soundscapes and dark collages of sound. Everything is topped by the warm baritone voice of singer Henning wich created a melange of desolate warmth and gloomy beauty.
„The Mellow Collie“ will be released on Battersea Electric on May 11th, 2018.
