All Reitz Reserved Short Info

In 2010 Chris Reitz started conquering the stages in Luxembourg and the Greater Region with his electric violin. As a member of the local band Anthem of the Sun he developed a true passion for music. In 2013 his own solo project All Reitz Reserved was born. The versatile opportunities of his extraordinary instrument are combined with various effects in order to create spaced out sound experiments.

All Reitz Reserved is his very first all-instrumental project Enjoying playing music, the opportunity to be creative, staying open-minded and the ability to popularize his mostly unknown instrument are the main goals of this non-professional music project.

It is basically about recreating songs using a so-called Loop Station, that allows him to record, replay and overdub different phrases live. He likes to cross a multitude of sonic spheres including elements from Pop, Blues, Rock to Dubsteb.

Chris started playing different kinds of live shows soon after finishing the first couple of songs, which were mostly improvisations based on well-known songs. Future sets can vary though and may include more of his own material while putting an emphasis on electronic elements.

2013 was a successful year, Chris played a wide range of different kinds of shows, from nasty more Rock-oriented bar gigs to formal events such as academic sessions, ceremonies and opening events. In 2013 Chris had the opportunity to continue the collaboration between him and the well-known cellist André Mergenthaler. This fructuous symbiosis was marked by a culminating highlight by the end of the year, allowing them to play LCTO's festival „Live at Vauban“ supporting the great Al di Meola.
