With the addition of Jamie’s old friend and former high school bandmate Matt Hancock, a talented drummer and producer, the project took on another dimension, making live performances a far more exciting experience.
Alessa’s Nowhere is an artist with a distinctive sound and a creative approach to songwriting. With a wide array of genre influences including indie & electronic music to new wave, post-punk and rock, Alessa's Nowhere records and produces all their own music using guitars, synths, samplers and drum machines to create songs that can be euphorically happy or beautifully depressing.
Alessa’s Nowhere’s sound is dark and brooding in places and has an upbeat maniacal energy in others. It can be chilled, aggressive, downbeat or ecstatic, but always cohesive. A passion for experimenting with music technology, recording and production techniques as well as sampling vintage drum machines and synthesizers furthered Alessa’s Nowhere’s sound, with the majority of songs being guitar-driven.
