Act of Love are a band from Brighton UK who've recently released their 'Looking for the Light' single and album on Creative & Dreams Music Network, LLC.

The (UK daily national) Daily Mirror's end of year music review said in December - "A dashing & eclectic mission statement from Simon Hill's stylish Brighton-based outfit, the gorgeous title track ably contrasted by the emotive 'Ships on the Ocean'. Illumination guaranteed!"...
Having played festivals & interesting venues over the last few of months to blow away the cobwebs, Act of Love have been interviewed & live in session on radio several times (both here & in the USA) & things are growing nicely (currently number 1 WORLDWIDE in electronica on the ReverbNation chart). The band go out live as anything between a 3 piece & full 8 member extravaganza (male & female vocals, various guitars, cello, percussion & electronics), depending on circumstance...

'Looking for the Light' is our 'introduction' tune on a few different levels. It's a handshake & a hug on meeting, to draw you all in to the more complex & varied delights of Act of Love's 'Cosmic Soul Music' (one reviewer's term!).
The live set begins & ends with contrasting quiet & 'bigger' versions of the song. Looking for the Light is simply about falling (or 'dreaming') in love out of the blue, from nowhere & with no choice & the dreamlike feel of the song is a deliberate attempt to take the listener on that journey!..
An instrumental version of the song has already been used in a short film for the blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan, with voice over by Steve Coogan (we feel there's plenty more scope for film & TV placement).
