ACES - Bio

Currently band has 4 members: Tomas Michalcak (Lead vocals, guitar), Stefan Tomko (Backing vocals, guitar), Daniel Griglak (Bass) and Boris Basista (Drums).

Throughout the years band changed it's member formation several times, which leaves Tomas and Stefan to be only founding members playing in the band to this day.

Aces was formed in 2012 and the firs performances were held in clubs in their hometown, Bratislava (Slovakia). The biggest achievment was playing in the biggest rock fest TOPFEST (alongside names like Iron Maiden or Billy Talent.) in Slovakia and the Polish-Czech/Slovak band competition "Radehast Lihen 2013" where Aces were the youngest competitor of 217 bands, but still made it to the 2nd. place - the highest rating of all Czech and Slovaks bands. Big success was the tour with austrian hard rock band Easy or slovak famous rock band Horkyze Slize in Vienna. In Austrian rock competition EVN Band Contest we gained in top 4. Songs of Aces are played in the rock radio Aligator. 2015/2016 The band started playing regular live performances as a part in the play in the slovak theatre Nova Scena in Bratislava. Aces recorded new songs and played live gigs in the Czech republic, Austria and in Bratislava, e.g. performed at the Forbes magazine awards or as a support for the legendary Boney M. in the Hant Sports Arena in Bratislava.

In 2016/2017 The band has new members - Daniel Griglak bass and Boris Basista drums. The band released their singel "Save Me". In end of the year Aces played concerts in their fall tour in Slovakia and the year ended with concert at the"Music Majestic Club in Bratislava". In 2018 Band played in Arena Wien, going to record a debut CD and take a part in the Smokey Joe Tabakfabrik in Passau - band contest. The Radio Antena Rock has the singel "Save Me" in the radio rotation.

In 2018, ACES were awarded as NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR 2017 by the Association of Authors and Performing Artists.
