The band released 1st singles 'George Best / Paul Simon' in March 2015 and quickly gained the attention of key Irish music journalists including Hot Press, Goldenplec and The Thin Air, also receiving features in UK publications such as Rocksound magazine. The band has toured all over the UK and Ireland. In January 2015 the band was selected has a ‘Hot for 2015’ band by Hot Press Magazine in Ireland. Abandcalledboy has shared a stage with Rolo Tomassi, And So I Watch You From Afar and The Futureheads to name a few.

Abandcalledboy mix wall of noise and fuzz guitar chaos with a tight drums and bass groove orientated rhythm section. Their live shows are known for being loud, intense and energetic.
