Aaron is a 22 year-old London based singer-songwriter.

She writes classic pop songs with an alternative electronic sound, wherein synthpop meets eighties R&B. Her work is characterised by lyrical prowess, honesty and emotion. In her personal style, her live performances and her dreamlike, ethereal music, Aaron belongs to the dream pop genre. One can also hear early 80’s Madonna, Kate Bush and Cocteau Twins influence scattered through Aaron’s work.

Her vivid imagination has been encouraged by voracious reading: Henry Miller and DH Lawrence are among Aaron’s reference points, along with female songwriters such as Carol King, Cat Power and Annie Lennox. Aaron’s writing also reflects an eclectic upbringing consisting of jazz, pop, R&B, soul and alt rock combined with the sonic wonder of contemporary artists such as Blood Orange, Little Dragon, Johnny Jewel and TV on the Radio. When it all merges as one, her distinctive breathy vocals and delicate melodies form a unique, textured wall of sound that feels substantially more than the sum of its parts.

For the past two years, the London songstress has been honing her craft and working with the likes of Corey Chorus (Rihanna), Brey (Jessie Ware) and MNEK (Duke Dumont) and writing for artists such as Ed Thomas, Arlissa and Dante. 'Letters to Jonny', contains five songs on which Aaron collaborated with some of the industry’s brightest upcoming writers and producers. Mark Tieku (Tieks) has previously written and produced for Florence + The Machine, The XX and remixed Rudimental, whilst Toby Davies has worked with Alex Clare, Sinead Harnett and George the Poet. Niall Lavelle has recently signed to Raffertie’s Super Recordings label under the moniker ‘Fallen’. Brey released his much lauded debut EP, Brasil, in 2012 and co-wrote on Jessie Ware's debut album Devotion.

Aaron describes the E.P. as a conceptual work, where “the songs are letters addressed to a fictional man, a character and consequence of the writer’s imagination and her relationship with him unravels as the record progresses”.

Following early buzz of tracks ‘Strong’ and ‘Holding Water’ and after the release of new single 'Borderline', Aaron is pleased to announce the release of her debut EP 'Letters to Jonny', which will be available from April 27th via Bandcamp.
