A Moviescript Ending was formed in the Swedish west-coast city of Halmstad, whilst it's founding and sole member Steve Proctor worked in the city and played acoustic music with friends within the residential halls of the university.

Taking this creative inspiration home to Oxford, Proctor began writing and performing at local open mics as an alternative to playing bass in his then-current band 2Point0. A Moviescript Ending then took over full-time and 2011 finished with the production of the demo collection Skylines, to support the beginning of full live performances. 2012 saw the writing and recording of debut album proper “The Golden Hour” along with live performances to support it in London, the south-east and a one-off evening in Fuertaventura! The release of The Golden Hour was followed by further gigs in the South of England, along with charity performances in aid of Oxford-based cancer centre Helen and Douglas house. 2013 saw A Moviescript Ending take Leytonstone-based music night “Turn Off Your Television”'s Golden remote award for act of the night and expanded gigging through 2014 into the south-west of England. A hometown show in Ludlow-Shropshire pulled a crowd of over 100 to celebrate the release of the second album “Everything We Can't Leave Behind”, with it's new expanded sound encompassing guest appearances from friends and local Shropshire musicians.

A Moviescript Ending takes strong reference from 90s and 00s melodic rock acts to create a homogeneous mix of pop sensibility and rock edge. Fans of Jimmy Eat World, The Gaslight Anthem, City and Colour and Biffy Clyro will all find something familiar in the sound of A Moviescript Ending, with songs ranging from slow atmospheric numbers to upbeat pop-punk esque acoustic tracks. The album's sound is augmented by the addition of both acoustic and electric guitar solos to slide seamlessly into tracks and propel them to the next level.

The latest album “Everything We Can't Leave Behind” was released on digital platforms in 2015 and 2017 looks set to be A Moviescript Ending's busiest year, building on the success of last year's national radio airplay in Eastern Europe and 3 month stay on the Euro Indie Artist chart!
