Real name Aaron Thomason was born in Somerset, raised in Huddersfield and has now has finally found is home in Brighton town.
With a series of critically acclaimed releases garnering praise from luminaries such as Ninja Tune legend DJ Food (Who went so far as to invite Aaron to collaborate on a track for his own album), 2econd Class Citizen’s music has long been astounding listeners in all corners of the globe. Cementing the affection of his loyal following through frequent European Tours and remixes for artists such as The Herbaliser, Dday 0ne & Loka. his new record A hall of Mirrors on US label Content Records is set to propel 2econd Class Citizen into Europe’s beat elite.

Recorded in the disparate locations of Brighton (UK) and Innsbruck (Austria), and featuring collaborations with a succession of underground heroes such as Mykah 9 (freestyle fellowship), Graciellita and Bobbie Watson from Comus, the album builds on his trademark sound - lush instrumentation, dusty break-beats and shimmering melodies that veer from ethereal to menacing with surprising deftness.

The new LP is the latest instalment in a career spanning over ten years. Highlights include his astonishing debut album A World Without , released on DJ Scientists Equinox Records (Berlin) featuring singer/songwriter Ceschi Ramos from the US and rapper/wordsmith James Reindeer. A Gatefold 12” vinyl release of his second album the small minority, 4 Ep’s, limited edition vinyl postcards and digital releases such as his “Old folk wine” series of psych-folk re edits.

In his live sets he recreates the complexity and depth of orchestration he has become known for, using sound editing software and live drumming to keep a strong improvisational aspect.

In addition to frequent European Tours with Ceschi, Glen Porter, Buddy Peace & more he has performed at festivals including Glastonbury and Soundwave (Croatia), sharing stages with the likes of The Hidden Orchestra, Dj Food, Nosaj thing, buck 65, B Dolan, Loka, Dosh, kid kanevil, 2Tall (om unit), The q4, Gong and many more.
