Meet Divine Chaos.........
METAL HAMMER said "Brutal times demand brutal music, and few bands are fulfilling the extreme metal agenda with quite the same furious intensity as UK’s own Divine Chaos".
THE GUARDIAN said "Much of the best new metal emerges when young bands exhibit a true understanding of the genre’s core values and cultural staples.’ ‘Few recent bands have conjured such a technically devastating and compositionally refined take on age - old conventions. EXTREME METAL PERFECTION!"
HEAVY METAL TRIBUNE: (Review) 9/10 - It’s been quite a long while since I encountered such an impactful modern thrash metal record.
Formed in London from humble beginnings in 2006, Divine Chaos have exploded on to the European Metal scene and captured the attention of major metal bands and media.
Since the release of their debut EP, Divine Chaos have toured with and supported the likes of Venom, inc and Vader, Sodom, Gama Bomb, Death Angel, Evile, Sylosis and Entombed to name but a few and have appeared at events such as UK’s Bloodstock festival.
Following a string of dates with Gama Bomb in 2014, Divine Chaos released their debut album ‘A New Dawn In The Age of War’ through Evileye records. Produced by Scott Atkins and featuring performances from James Stewart (Vader) who is a permanent member of the group and Josh Middleton (Sylosis) the Album received great acclaim across the board from Metal Hammer to Revolver to The Guardian and has had tracks feature regularly in Terroriser.
2015 saw Divine Chaos take ‘A New Dawn…’ to a wider audience as they toured Europe to rave reviews with metal legends Venom, inc. and Vader. Work continues on their follow-up album due for release 2016 and with tours and festival dates already secured, 2016 will see the bands busiest year to date.
Divine Chaos’ aim has always been to deliver cutting edge metal, a sound that is as modern as it is old school. A refined blend of influences that creates a sound that is their own at a time where such a thing is difficult to find. With a level of song writing and authentic aggression that allowed the metal genre to thrive in its early heyday ‘A New Dawn In The Age of War’ explores the darker side of thrash metal akin to the early 90’s sounds of bands ‘Sepultura’ ‘Death’ and ‘Carcass’ whilst maintaining the accessibility of pioneers such as ‘Metallica’ and ‘Slayer.’ Add to this the technical and progressive musical execution that Divine Chaos employ and you have their take on 3 decades of metal heritage.
Thematic in its lyrical content “A New Dawn…” Explores the art of warfare in all its forms from backroom arms dealer government lobbyists in ‘Perpetual War Policy’ to the bloodlust Mai Lai massacres in ‘Rivers of Blood,’ the album reflects upon mankind’s deadly obsession.
